Physiotherapy in Lisbon and Almada

60-minute sessions, one physiotherapist dedicated to you, and a movement analysis lab to treat the cause of your pain — not just the symptom.

What physiotherapy at Myalgia includes

Physiotherapy at Clínica Myalgia® was designed to be the exact opposite of short sessions, several patients at once and time split between machines.

Each session combines:

  • 60 minutes entirely dedicated to you — longer, less frequent sessions, with real time to assess, treat and teach;

  • One-to-one with your physiotherapist — no assistants, no waiting time on machines, from the start to the end of the session;

  • Personalised manual therapy — hands-on work on areas of pain and tension;

  • Therapeutic exercise and targeted strengthening — with Technogym equipment, focused on the muscle groups that protect the painful joint;

  • Access to the Movement Analysis Lab — assessment and biofeedback training of walking, running and the movement that is causing the problem.

And, when needed, your physiotherapist works next door to the medical team: consultations, ultrasound, procedimentos guiados por imagem e insoles are all under one roof, with direct communication between professionals.

Frequently asked questions

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the situation — be wary of anyone who gives you a number before assessing you. In the first session we carry out a full assessment and present a plan with goals and a realistic estimate, which we review as you progress. Because our sessions last 60 minutes and are fully individualised, fewer sessions are usually needed than in the conventional model.

How is this different from a conventional physiotherapy clinic?

Three things: time (60 dedicated minutes, not split between machines), method (we find and correct the cause of pain, with movement analysis when indicated) and integration (physiotherapist, doctor, lab and insoles under one roof, talking to each other).

Are sessions covered by insurers or health subsystems?

Sessions may be eligible for reimbursement. Our team will prepare all the necessary documentation. Find out more in Insurance and Reimbursements.

Where can I have physiotherapy with Myalgia?

In Lisbon, at Quinta da Luz (Carnide), and in Almada town centre — with the same method and the same clinical coordination team.
